Hello Beauties! Today’s blog is about my 5 Minute Face! Let’s face it, I wish I had time to slay every day like these IG famous muas our there. But I don’t. I work full time. In the mornings before work, I make healthy breakfast for my fiance and myself. And, I love sleeping in as much as possible. Why do I sleep in? Because after work, I hit the gym, and then come home to make a healthy dinner and of course clean up afterwards. Imagine when I have kids? Will I even make it to lip gloss? LOL! So if you’re like me and you’re up and down on a daily basis, this blog about how to create a 5 minute face is for you. This blog is full of tips for makeup when you’re on the go, like on your way to the office, or when you have a Saturday full of errands. We can save the contouring, etc etc for girls night or date night.
5 Minute Face Makeup
What is the best way to save time and create a true 5 minute face? Have your products be 2 (or more) in 1. I use the following three steps in my every day makeup.
Base is everything. I love Dermalogica’s Ultra Sensitive Tint SPF 30 because it is multi-functional. It is:
- My moisturizer
- Treatment to calm my red, sensitive skin
- Base, with a neutral tint.
When shopping for a tinted moisturizer, try to shop with a Skin Care brand, instead of a makeup brand. If you go this route, the product will usually give you more skin benefits.
Frame your face with brows. If you fill in your eyebrows, you will automatically look:
- More awake– Your eyes will look bigger
- More chiseled– The angles of your brows will echo the angles of your cheekbones and jawline
- Younger– Think of brows as an instant eye lift
I handle my brows with Nudestix Stylus Pencil & Gel. One side is an angled pencil. I define the under part of my brow. Then I fill in with feather strokes. The other side is a tinted gel to tame hairs and keep them in place. If you are REALLY pressed for time, you can use the gel side only. Check it out here.
Give your lips and cheeks a pop of color. And to really make it easy, use the same product for both. Going back to the ever functional Nudestix. Their motto is go nude but better. I have to agree. When your lip and cheek color match, it creates the look of a natural flush. The crayon is the perfect size to line and fill your lips. Then on your cheeks, apply and blend upward. It comes in 8 shades. My favorite is KISS. You can check out the other colors here.
Boom there you have it a 5 minute face for women on the go, using only 3 products? I hope you all enjoyed this post. What is your favorite products when you do your makeup on the go? I’d love to read in the comments. Until next time, be beautiful…even when you’re in a rush. 😉
