Hi everyone! Health and Fitness seems to be quite the craze now. I have been seduced by it and am absolutely in love. I began my relationship with fitness shortly after high school in 2008. I have always been naturally skinny, and feared “The Freshman 15” would catch up with my in college. I was a cardio bunny, obsessed with staying skinny and having abs.
I fell off the wagon and ignored my health and fitness, relying on my naturally fast metabolism. When it finally slowed down, I joined a gym. Again, I had every intention of using only an elliptical and doing an insane amount of ab exercises.
Up until then, my relationship with fitness was on and off, on and off. Then, something amazing happened. I discovered weight lifting! Since discovering weight lifting, I have become more serious than ever about my fitness goals. I am determined, motivated, and in love with my new life style. I see fitness as a long term part of a life: a marathon of health, not a sprint to a quick fix. I transformed (and am still transforming) from a petite frame to a muscular, fit and still very feminine frame.
Fitness has been good to me in helping me achieve balance in my life. It changed the way I eat, the way I managed stress, and how I see my body.
The most beautiful part about it is that I met my fiance at the gym! If it weren’t for fitness, I would not have met the love of my life. 🙂
