Hello beauties! Today’s post is all about my experience with Roxy Fitness in Huntington Beach. Roxy had an event that involved Paddle Boarding, a 5k and Yoga on the beach. You could participate in 1, 2 or all 3 events. I enrolled for the 5k and yoga on the beach. I am so excited to tell you all about my experience with Roxy Fitness at Huntington Beach!
Roxy Fitness Huntington Beach
This was the only #RoxyFitness event in all of the US. They are having similar events in Canada, The Netherlands, Spain, France and Japan. At the event I attended, almost a thousand women and a handful of men all showed up to have fun in the healthiest way possible. According to the Roxy event page:
In 2015, ROXY launched the #ROXYFITNESS movement boasting over 10 thousand participants in 19 countries – a global community of girls coming together to exercise their right to have fun.
This year, we invite you to get involved : stand up, focus, and take stride with thousands of other ROXY girls at your local spot.
For us, the finish line is just the beginning.
There was a Roxy Pop Up Shop selling super cute Roxy Gear. There was also appropriate vendors like Zico Coconut Water which was awesome as a free hydrating station, and Sun Bum which is so important. A free SPF station is imperative at an outdoor event.
It the most inexpensive race I’ve ever heard of. Only $5 per activity. By enrolling in 2 events, Roxy gave me the cutest hat and a cute towel to use as an outdoors yoga mat. Check out my Instagram for more pictures.
The entire crowd had a positive vibe. Everyone was so friendly and encouraging. The event was a lot of fun and it really focused on empowering women, which I absolutely love.
One thing, though, is that all the events had a late start time. I signed up to run at 900 and do yoga at about 1030. Unfortunately, the events started later than anticipated, which led me to get much more sun than I anticipated for.
Nonetheless, it was a great event and experience. I will definitely be back next year! Who knows how my time will improve by then. And again, the women empowerment with fitness is an absolutely amazing theme- I can’t get enough. Thanks again Roxy Fitness! If you’d like to learn more about this event, check out their page here.
