THANKSGIVING MAKEUP IDEAS 2013
Hello Beauties! Thanksgiving is just a couple of weeks away. I thought I’d share Thanksgiving Makeup Ideas 2013. Hope you all enjoy!
Thanksgiving Makeup Ideas 2013
So Thanksgiving is the ultimate fall holiday. It kicks off the “holiday season” which is full of parties where we ladies are expected to look extra glamourous and fabulous. Since Thanksgiving is only the kick off to these holiday parties, the look is softer than say, a Christmas or New Years Party. However it must still be glamourous. Earth tones, and soft shimmers are your best bet this Thanksgiving. Here are some look ideas.
Olive Toned Eyeshadows
I’ve mentioned Olive for the eyes in several blogs, and even in my latest youtube vlog. Olive is a beautiful color for us brown eyed beauties.
Blue eyes, wear copper tones.
Green eyes, wear plum tones.
Save the bold color lips for Christmas or New Years! Thanksgiving is a holiday about grubbing. So keep the lips neutral so you won’t have to worry about touching up, or smearing. Want to make sure your lip color lasts all evening? Line and fill your lips with a lip liner. Then apply your favorite lip color with a lip brush.
Flawless, Matte Face
Be sure to moisturize, and let your moisturizer set. Then apply a primer appropriate to you skin needs. Oily? Urban Decay has a great mattifier. Dry? Try Cover FX SPF 30 Protection Primer. Let your primer set. Apply your favorite foundation. Revlon 24 Color Stay is a great drug store brand! Once set, apply a teeny tiny bit of translucent powder if needed.
Contour Your Face
Contour correctly, and people will be asking if you’ve lost weight! I think we all get self-conscious about gaining weight during the holidays. But honestly, we only get to eat these foods once a year! So, contour away. You’re whole face will look thinner, and everyone will be asking you what your skinny secret is 😉
You can contour with creams, like I did in this picture. Or you can use Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer, which is much easier and faster. Just remember to blend, blend, blend!
Wear Fake Eyelashes
It’s The Holidays! This is the perfect time of year to wear fake lashes. Never worn them before? Stick with more natural looking ones with a clear band. This will feel lighter than the thicker ones. And lighter ones will stay on better.
Scared of false lashes? Wearing dark liner on your top lash line, along with extra coats of mascara will give you your eyes a dramatic look as well. 🙂
