Hello beauties! Today’s blog is all about what to look for in a guy. This is a health and beauty blog. And a big part of being healthy and feeling beautiful is loving yourself. You have to love yourself first before a man can love you. And a man will only treat you how you let him treat you. In the day where hookups are more accessible than ever through Tinder, POF, etc, I wanted to share a blog all about what to look for in a quality guy.
What to Look for in a Guy
Ladies, we cannot let guys keep getting away with “Netflix and Chill.” If you truly want a meaningful relationship, you need to let your man court you. Let him take you on real dates. Open doors for you. Invest time in you. Think of your first dates as auditions for the relationship. Is he worthy of your time? Is he someone you can bring home to mom and dad? Is he someone you can build a future with? I’m not saying to necessarily ask him this on the first date, because you may scare him off. But ask yourself these questions. As time goes on and you go on more dates, his actions will answer them for you. It will save you time and pain later.
As many of you all know, I am in a very happy relationship. I met my man 3 years ago at the gym. We talked almost every day and got to know each other as friends. We didn’t start dating until almost a year after meeting. Our first date was magical and well worth the wait. He took me to the Walt Disney Concert Hall. We didn’t kiss until our third date, when we went to Catalina for the day. Because I wanted to really get to know him and ensure that he was “boyfriend material.” And now, I couldn’t be happier. We have since gotten engaged, and I am so happy I took the time to get to know him and fall in love with my best friend.
I don’t know if you all like these types of blogs, but I feel its so important to tell young woman out there: You are special. You are unique. You are worth someone’s time, effort, courtship. Please don’t settle for less. If I had settled for less, I wouldn’t have found the love of my life. So today’s post is for all the mujeres out there.
