Hello Beauties! Today’s blog is all about Winter Road Trip Essentials. My fiancé and I recently went on our annual winter road trip. It is a tradition in our relationship. We packed up my Prius and used our holiday vacation time to travel some place new. This year, we drove through Arizona. We stopped at Flagstaff for a White Christmas under a beautiful full moon. Then we visited Sedona for fun sight-seeing. And we ended in Phoenix for an art show. This blog is for all the ladies out there. How to pack for a winter road trip: clothing and beauty essentials for a chilly winter road trip.
Winter Road Trip Essentials
I am a big fan of dresses. It’s one piece. You don’t have to worry too much about matching or packing much. To make dresses work for the cold, I packed fleece lined leggings. You can buy them for $5 at any fashion boutique. To keep my legs warm, I wore my favorite knee boots.
Then, I packed a shawl that feels as cozy as a blanket. It’s double sided so I have two looks, for less space in my bag. I packed a couple of hats as well. Beanies don’t take up a lot of room in your bag, so its easy to change your look with hats. I packed only one pair of gloves, that I got for a steal at Marshalls.
Finally, I topped everything off with a winter coat! It’s black from like 4 seasons ago. And I love it because it is classic and never goes out of style.
Aquage Dry Shampoo
Aquage Silkening Oil Treatment
Aquage Curl Defining Cream
Dermalogica Ultra Calming Kit
Protection 50 Sport SPF 50
NYX Eyebrow Pencil
Loreal Telescopic Liquid Liner
Benefit They’re Real Mascara
Maybelline Baby Lips Tinted Lip Balm
I used Aquage Oil and Cream to wear my hair natural. Then I used the Dry Shampoo to refresh my roots. I had washed my hair right before the trip and ONCE during. We were gone for 5 days so it worked out for me. Plus, I did not want to be washing my hair in that cold!
Then I cleansed, toned and moisturized with Dermalogica’s Ultra Calming Kit to prevent dry winter skin while we were in the snow. You can even mix a little of the Barrier Repair with the hotel body moisturizer! Then I protected myself from UV rays with a sport SPF to not have to worry about reapplying.
I kept my makeup to a minimum. No foundation. Just brows, wing liner, mascara, and tinted lip balm.
I hope you all liked my Winter Road Trip Essentials blog. What are products or clothing items you cannot travel without? I’d love to read in the comments!
