Z Palette Depotting Party
Hello Beauties! Today’s post is all about my experience at the Z Palette De-potting Party. I’m so excited to tell you all about it!
Z Palette is a very functional concept. It’s designed to make the life of any makeup artist or makeup buff easier. It is a magnetized makeup palette. You de-pot your makeup, stick a magnetic sticker to the back of the pot, and add it to your Z Palette. It was created by two time Emmy Award winning makeup artist, Zena Shteysel. As a professional, she understood more than anyone that makeup needs to be streamlined. I couldn’t agree more. When I used to do professional makeup, my pro kit often felt cumbersome. What’s more, even now if I travel, it’s frustrating to lug around 3 Urban Decay Palettes just to create one eyeshadow look for just myself. You can read my original full Z Palette Review here.

As if Z Palette couldn’t get MORE functional! At the Z Palette De-potting Party, I learned they are now expanding. Now they offer depotting services at their concept space: “De-Pot Depot by Z Palette.” I couldn’t be happier to have learned this. Have you ever tried depotting your own makeup? I have. And let me tell you, it is time consuming. Well worth the effort, but time consuming nonetheless.
In addition to depotting services, they created a new machine that heats up your original makeup palette. The pots warm up so they are easily removed. The best part? It doesn’t melt the plastic. Your makeup stays safe. They offer these services and de-potting tools at their concept space. You will find it at the Westfield Fashion Square in Sherman Oaks. Directly in front of Sephora. You can drop off your makeup, and they will de-pot while you shop!
As Zena, the visionary behind Z Palette, said: “When you de-pot and put all the colors on a Z Palette, you can see the colors. It’s no longer about brands. You can rediscover your makeup collection. Then it does become about color and art.” I completely agree. I am so happy I downsized and de-cluttered my makeup collection. It is more convenient to carry around. And, I have a better eye for what colors I do have. Check out the before and after of my makeup collection on my Instagram.
Thanks again Z Palette for inviting me to the Z Palette Depotting Party. Have you used Z Palette before? Have you tried depotting your own makeup? Are you excited for new depotting services? I’d love to read in the comments. Until next time. Be Beautiful!
